HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT LAST?
The time required to complete the treatment is highly variable and depends on the complexity of each case, but it generally takes from 8 to 12 months. Your dentist can help you immediately grasp the extent of the problem, evaluate options and understand the treatment specifically designed for you.
WHY DOES IT WORK?
The aligners control the extent and the time it takes to move the teeth; therefore, the movement is highly controlled and gradual.
Only a few teeth will need to move in each phase, as established by the initial treatment plan. The result is a system that uses constant gentle forces, which are very effective for moving teeth to the prescribed position.
WHAT MATERIAL IS IT MADE OF?
The F22 system is designed digitally and then printed with a resistant, elastic, biocompatible thermoplastic material, certified for medical use.
HOW OFTEN WILL I HAVE TO SEE MY DENTIST DURING THE F22 TREATMENT?
Patients using the F22 aligners usually have short appointments with their dentists every 4-6 weeks, so the doctor can see how the treatment is progressing.
WHAT SHOULD I DO DURING MEALS?
The aligners are removable; eating without them is highly recommended to prevent the risk of pigmentation by food colourings. This is a great advantage for oral hygiene compared to traditional braces with brackets and wires. Remember to clean your teeth correctly and completely before wearing your aligners again.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE TREATMENT IS COMPLETED?
At the end of the treatment we will plan the containment process for you: this will allow you to maintain the results achieved, protecting your teeth from the natural tendency to gradually return to the starting point.
